The RAS GCSE Competition, sponsored by Winton, provides a chance for students studying GCSE Astronomy to showcase their astronomy knowledge. Students were invited to present an astronomy topic of their choice as an academic style poster for a chance to win book token prizes.

The winners were announced at our March Ordinary Meeting and are as follows:

Maya Charman from Parkstone Grammar School, Poole, has won first prize for their poster titled “How to find Exoplanets: The search for hidden worlds”.

Abbott Bai, from Marlborough College, Wiltshire. has won second prize for their poster “Can We Throw Satellites Into Space?”.

Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to everyone that submitted their posters.
