Come to the RAS on 13 July and find out what RAS200 could do for you – and what you could do for RAS science

RAS200 is a programme of grants up to £100,000 to foster outreach among communities who don't generally participate in traditional astronomy outreach. The goal is to share the enthusiasm for RAS sciences in new ways. RAS200 has already awarded 6 grants, for projects in which astronomers work with organisations such as The Prince's Trust for new approaches to astronomy and geophysics outreach.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the second grants round should come to RAS HQ at Burlington House in London on 13 July. There will be presentations about the project and a Q&A session with the organizers. Most important of all, there iwll be an opportunity to network with others interested in developing bids for RAS200 grants.

if you want to come along, you must register, but tickets are free. The meeting starts at 11 am. If you want t ofind out more, comtact the RAS Outreach Officer, Clare McLoughlin, at outreach@ras.org.uk.

Applications for RAS200 grants will open on 10 October 2016. Look out for local Town Hall meetings across the UK between September and November this year.
